From steve at lca2015.linux.org.au Sun Jan 17 10:04:11 2016 From: steve at lca2015.linux.org.au (Steven Ellis) Date: Sun, 17 Jan 2016 12:04:11 +1300 Subject: [LCA2015-Chat] Last message from your #LCA2015 team to wish you all the best for 2016 Message-ID: Dear Speakers + Miniconf Organisers + Keynotes + Attendees + Volunteers It has now been a year since we finished LCA 2015 in Auckland, and we're 2 weeks out from LCA 2016 in Geelong. Myself and Cherie just wanted to send a last thank you for all of your hard work and contributions to making the 2015 conference so successful. LCA is an amazing event where everyone who attends contributes to its success, so without you we'd have been very lonely for the week :-) Both of us will be over in Geelong for LCA 2016, so if any of you are in attendance please catch us and say hi as I'm sure we were more than a little distracted last year. And to finish we want to send our very best to the LCA 2016 team and hope them every success for their conference. If you are based in Melbourne or Victoria in general, you may have heard that V/Line's VLocity trains have been "restricted" from the Melbourne metro rail network. Some trains are now running right into Southern Cross (aka Spencer Street) which is the Melbourne terminus for most of VLine's Melbourne train services. As a delegate, how may this affect you? * Those trains that are not running in and out of Melbourne will be replaced by coaches, at least for the Melbourne network section. * If you are wanting to be in Geelong by a particular time, please allow an extra hour for your travel time. * Check VLine's web site at https://www.vline.com.au/ for service updates and replacements.
